On November 5 — 10 of 2018 the first China International Import Expo was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. At the global gathering Armenia was represented by the legendary Armenian brandy ARARAT.

The first China International Import Expo, held with the slogan "New Era, Shared Future", is the largest import-orientated exhibition project of China. The event was attended by 18 heads of states and governments. The exhibition was held under the patronage of the President of China Xi Jinping, who attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. "China will continue to broaden market access, foster a world-class business environment, explore new horizons and promote international cooperation", said Xi Jinping.

172 countries and international organizations from five continents took part in the first China International Import Expo and demonstrated the best goods produced domestically. Within the frames of the exhibition, more than 3,600 companies from different countries held discussions with more than 400,000 importers. At the international trade forum, which is the first in its kind, Armenia was represented by the legendary Armenian brandy ARARAT. The visitors of the exhibition could get acquainted with the entire range of ARARAT brandies: from ARARAT Three stars brandy to 30-year-old ultra-premium Erebuni. The guests were also given the opportunity to taste the legendary brandies and reveal the secrets of this ritual.

The first Chinese international exhibition of imported goods, at which ARARAT was presented as part of its tour to China, right before participating in ProWine China, led to the establishment of business contacts aimed at exploring the importing possibilities of Armenian brandy ARARAT.

Notably, ARARAT brandy is exported to 37 countries worldwide.
