On November 3rd a presentation of a pipe organ took place at St. Nshan church in Gyumri.

Installing such an exceptional musical instrument in Armenia was made possible thanks to Pernod Ricard group and Yerevan Brandy Company.

The initiative to bring the organ to the second city of the republic, which is famous for its rich cultural traditions, belongs to the winner of international competitions, organist from Gyumri living in France, president of the union "Friends of Gyumri. France" Narine Simonyan. In the future Narine Simonyan also plans to open an organ and organ manufacturing school there.

This occasion was celebrated with an evening of spiritual music held at the St. Nshan church. World famous opera singer, soprano Hasmik Papian made the evening special with her live performance.

The instrument was acquired from a private collection. Symbolically, a famous French composer, organist Olivier Messiaen played the organ. The organ was made by the Roethinger dynasty famous for manufacturing organs, the traditions of which go 250 years back. At the end of the event special ARARAT reception took place.
