Theatre journey «Heart to Heart» with ARARAT


At the end of May ARARAT legendary Armenian brandy introduced a unique performance in Moscow dedicated to the theatre. This theme embodied through the prism of various art forms was not chosen by chance — the brand has been actively cooperating with the leading theatres for many years and supporting significant cultural events.
The friends and partners of the brand from the art and business spheres attended the event, including Svetlana Bondarchuk, Julia Baranovskaya, Polina Askeri, Artsvik Harutyunyan and others.
Guests moved from one space to another taking a journey through an improvised theatrical backstage. The multifaceted nature of the range of ARARAT brandies was revealed to the audience through vivid aesthetic experiences and emotional images connected to the historical and cultural heritage of Armenia.
The performance started with a story about the homeland of the legendary brandy embodying the union of generous nature and talented people of Armenia. Then the attendees appeared on terrace with a view opening to the Ararat valley and found themselves at the hospitable Armenian table with sincere toasts. Additional atmospheric accents were made by selected fragments from Sergei Parajanov's film "The Color of a Pomegranates".
Then the journey passed through the spaces dedicated to acquaintance with the outstanding representatives from ARARAT brandies range. The most emotional and artistic of them - 10-year-old "Akhtamar" got its name from the ancient legend about the love of brave young man for Princess Tamar. This story was illustrated through a spectacular performance of the theatre of shadows. Whereas in an unusual room in a form of oak barrel, which is used for aging of brandy spirits & emphasized the multifaceted bouquet of the drink, the tasting of 20-year-old ARARAT "Nairi" brandy took place. The blend that has been created by the great master Markar Sedrakyan.
The culmination of the evening was the dancing performance of the director-choreographer Anna Abalikhina, a participant of international projects, owner of a Golden Mask, choreography director in drama and opera houses. To the accompaniment of viola and soprano the dancers continued the story about the history, culture and character of the legendary symbol of Armenia - in the expressive language of modern dance, out of the textual narrative, leaving room for interpretations.
The journey through labyrinth ended in a cozy hall where the famous singer Mariam Merabova gave a jazz concert that warmed the hearts of the guests and left a warm aftertaste from the ARARAT evening.
