International Bartender Association in Armenia

From April 26–28 at the invitation of Armenian Bartenders Association and with the support of the legendary Armenian brandy ARARAT, IBA (International Bartenders Association) European Presidents meeting was held in Armenia.

Within the frames of the visit the delegation visited ARARAT Museum of Yerevan Brandy Company, where it got acquainted with the rich history and the production process of the legendary brandy, and also tasted ARARAT brandies including the unique ARARAT Charles Aznavour Signature Blend.

“Armenia is a country of unique light reflected in the eyes of Armenian women. We are impressed by the level of professionalism of Armenian bartenders and are considering the possibility of having an international bartender competition in Armenia”, said IBA Vice President for Europe Giorgio Fadda.

“Armenia is incredibly rich in stories, and we are ready to broadcast them in a bar context. Of course, such a country with such an iconic drink as ARARAT has all the rights to be represented with dignity on the world bar map,” said IBA President for Ireland Declan Byrne.

“Long-term efforts aimed at the institutionalization of the bartender industry are giving results, and I am very pleased that today international gurus of the sphere consider Armenia as a country where the prestigious competition of the industry can be held. Together with our partner YBC, we will make every effort to represent Armenia with dignity in the most vivid, vibrant and pulsating sphere”, - said Tigran Avetisyan, President of the Armenian Barmen Association.
