Aurora Generosity Dinner dedicated to Aurora Heroes

The special event “ARARAT Generosity Dinner. Tribute to Aurora Heroes” was held at Yerevan Brandy Company on June 8th.
ARARAT has been with Aurora since its inception supporting the award ceremonies of 2016 and 2017. The cooperation based on shared values has already enriched the pages of Aurora with bright and colourful moments.
This year one of the core moments of ARARAT-Aurora collaboration was the special “ARARAT Generosity Dinner. Tribute to Aurora Heroes” event held at Yerevan Brandy Company, which united all the guests of Aurora Humanitarian Initiative under the roof of ARARAT.
“ARARAT is proud tonight to host the guests and nominees of Aurora, as during these days of celebration Yerevan surely becomes the world capital of humanity. Aurora makes the world move to the right direction”, said Ara Grigoryan, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of YBC.
In his turn one of the co-founders of Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Noubar Afeyan added, that ARARAT and Aurora in addition to being many-many things are the brands that represent their own ideology and meaning. “The Mount ARARAT is the resting spot of the Biblical Noah’s Ark and that story is about humanity getting the second chance. Aurora, named after Aurora Mardiganian, on the other hand is the story of survivors of the Armenian Genocide, means the dawn. The whole idea of Aurora is this renewal and this second chance”, he said. “I want to thank ARARAT for these three years of being together, I am so happy to have partners like Ara and team. Thank you for supporting us, thank you being a part of the network, who believe that gratitude in action is critical for everybody. We hope that gratitude in action will become a lifestyle”, added Ruben Vardanyan, co-founder of Aurora Humanitarian Initiative.
In the frames of the dinner all the guests had an opportunity to visit ARARAT Museum and reveal the richest traditions of Armenian brandy making and the story of the celebrated master, whose life became another example of gratitude in action.
A few years old kid who lost his entire family in the city of Van and witnessed all the tragedy of Genocide was so little, that he couldn’t even name his family name to be sheltered in the orphanage. Years later he created the brandy that was served to Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt to celebrate the turning moments of the World War II. The Genocide survivor’s tribute to the victory of life, the life regardless of race, colour of skin or anything else was so significant that very soon brandy Dvin became known as the Diplomatic one.
