Doors Open Days at Yerevan Brandy Company

The Yerevan Brandy Company holds Doors Open Days on December 24th and 25th, when each willing can visit the ARARAT museum free of charge and get acquainted with the history of Armenian brandy making.

This year, within Doors Open Days visitors will be proposed unique excursions to be held by well-known actors, musicians and bloggers, alongside with the traditional canonical programme of the ARARAT museum.

The ARARAT museum has confidently occupied its niche among Armenian museums and galleries for tourists with yearly increasing attendance rates. Nevertheless, the Museum is trying to enrich the regular excursion programme wider opening its doors for residents and visitors to the capital on the eve of New Year holidays while proposing ticketless entry. So, last year a collective show was held together with the State Erebuni Museum-Preserve, where unique artefacts of the Urartian epoch were exhibited.

Engagement of well-known persons as guides pursues an aim to evoke additional interest to the museum as such and to present a rich history of brandy making in an arttainment manner.

The grounding for such a ‘Doors Open Days’ concept served the fact that the ARARAT history is remarkably rich and there are many of those who can share their ARARAT moments through narration that is frequently of an artistic interest.

It should be pointed out that the ARARAT museum of Yerevan Brandy Company is an official partner of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in Armenia. For more images from the event, please follow the link
