Original cocktail recipe
It is believed that the tradition of chasing a sip of brandy with a wedge of lemon comes from a Russian Emperor and was affectionately named after him and known as “Nikolashka.” The typical lemon slice – even when sprinkled with powdered sugar or coffee grounds – can really taste edgy. However, since the legend of Armenian ARARAT brandy being introduced at the court of His Imperial Majesty is inextricably linked with "Nikolashaka", it is sometimes appropriate to enjoy a glass of ARARAT this way – as a tribute to history.
